Wooden Plastic

This movie, THE TREE IN A TEST TUBE, was made in 1941 [released in 1942].

The voiceover is by, MGM announcer,  Pete Smith. It was produced by the U. S. Department of Agriculture and distributed by the U.S. Forest Service as part of the WWII war effort.

This is Laurel and Hardy's only color film.

The film shows the array of products that contain wood, paper and wood by-product such as cellulose.

Today, why use plastic when you can have plastic wooden plastic?
